2. What this site is
Albert Lascaux Cahiers is an art project website offering WebGL-based publications (“Cahiers”), downloadable PDFs, and (later) optional purchase links.
3. Data we process when you visit the site
When you access this website, technical data is processed to deliver and protect the service. This typically includes your IP address (or a truncated form, depending on the service), request time, requested page, referrer, device/browser information, and error logs.
Purpose: website delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
This website can be operated with essential technologies only (no marketing cookies) and will then not require a marketing opt-in. If we activate marketing/remarketing (see section 6), we will ask for your consent first.
5. Contact
If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (e.g., email address and message) to handle your request and reply.
6. Marketing / Remarketing (Google Ads / YouTube) – only with consent
If you explicitly consent to “Marketing”, we may use Google Ads / YouTube remarketing to show reminder ads to visitors who engaged with the Cahiers project. Marketing tags are not activated before you opt in.
- Provider (EEA): Google Ireland Limited
- Purposes: audience building (remarketing), ad measurement (conversions), frequency capping
- Data categories: online identifiers (e.g., cookie or similar IDs), device/browser info, approximate location derived from IP
- Legal basis: consent (where required)
- Withdrawal: via “Cookie settings” (above) at any time
Depending on configuration, data may be transferred outside your country (including to the USA). Where applicable, transfer safeguards (e.g., contractual clauses and other measures) are used by the provider.
7. Payments / Checkout (Payhip) – only when you use it
If we offer paid Cahiers, the checkout may be provided via Payhip. When you click a purchase link and proceed to checkout, Payhip will process the order and payment-related data as required to fulfil the purchase. Please also review Payhip’s privacy information on their website.
Note: Payhip is only involved if you actively use the checkout. Browsing the Cahiers pages does not automatically send payment data.
8. Data retention
We keep technical logs only as long as necessary for security and reliability. Messages you send us are retained as long as needed to handle your request and for any legal obligations that may apply.
9. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to request access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, and to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
10. External links
This site may link to external services (for example, purchase platforms). When you follow those links, the external provider’s privacy policy applies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the website or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date will be adjusted accordingly.
